Northcoast500alpacas is a smallholding in Sarclet Village, which is is located at Sarclet just off the A99 at Thrumster, 5 miles south of Wick. The main entrance for our alpaca experience is clearly marked and there is a designated parking area. If you are early, please wait in this parking area, where a member of staff will come to meet you and your group.
Before you enter the alpaca area, you will be expected to comply with our biodiversity requirements.(boot dip)
Experiences will last approximately 90 minutes – depending on the alpacas and the pace you set.
Please remember that our alpacas are livestock and not pets. They are very friendly but sensitive, so we ask that you treat them with respect. Anyone that we feel does not adhere to this, will be asked to leave the site with no refund.
If you have any medical conditions, please make us aware prior to your booking as a trek may not be suitable for you.
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for your trek. We ask you not to be late as we cannot delay the start of the experience and will be unable to return to collect late arrivals.
If you are late, you will not be entitled to a refund or to reschedule. Please check where we are before you set off. Our contact numbers are on the website so feel free to give us a ring for directions and best routes.
We don’t often cancel visits, but being where we are, the weather sometimes dictates what we can do. If the weather is bad, it’s not fun for anyone or the alpacas, and so would defeat the object of the day.
If we cancel your experience, we will offer you either a full refund, rescheduling or vouchers – valid for 12 months.
If you are unable to make your booking, we can offer to reschedule as long as 48 hours notice has been given. No refund will be given, unless in exceptional circumstances and this will be at Northcoast500alpacas discretion.
We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions, prices or website without notice.
